The owner is very sweet and the kayaks are kept in good shape (although you might occasionally get out on the water to find a little spider riding along with you)."
"I’ve been visiting ADK since I was a teenager, and wanted to revisit for my 29th birthday. Found Connie’s boat rental on google and accidentally went into The Woods Inn next door, where the man at the counter kindly walked us down to redirect us to her.
Connie is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and has very fair prices for renting kayaks for half a day on the lake. She went the extra mile in showing us the different types of boats she has to offer, how to adjust your kayak to fit you perfectly, and gave us good tips on how to paddle. I’ve always just used bottom of the barrel, whatever I can get my hands on kayaks and hers were by far the most comfortable experience I’ve had on water.
She let us know sadly this is her last season, so go help her retire and buy one of her beautiful boats for sale!"

"Connie is personable and has good gear for water fun on Fourth Lake. Situated near Inlet, you will have to paddle against the current on most days to head toward Third Lake and Old Forge, but that makes the return trip so much easier. She also sells high end kayaks and canoes."

"This is a bit of an unusual review because we didn't actually use their service. Well, not in the typical way. We didn't rent a canoe or kayak but we did talk at length with the owner Connie about what kind of rack system we could use to haul a canoe on our little Smart car. After just a few moment talking with her, it was obvious that this was a woman who knew her stuff. Friendly and honest, with no intent to sell or get you on a boat, Connie helped us to understand differences among rack systems, different types of boats, what differentiates a canoe from an undecked kayak, and much more. It was such an engrossing conversation that we almost couldn't tear ourselves away! "We had to change our vacation plans this summer due to COVID and decided to stay in Inlet, on 4th lake. Our family and friends rented kayaks and paddle boards from Connie and we all agreed it was the highlight of our trip! Connie ensured that we were fitted properly and gave us expert instruction prior to our launch. This made all the difference in our experience on the water! We had never been fitted so well from previous rental places. With so many business having to close during the pandemic, we were extremely grateful that Connie was able to remain open.
